Iron-On Patch Instructions

These are basic DIY at-home instructions using an iron. For best results, you can also stitch patches on.

1. Set iron to Cotton or High Heat. Lay garment flat and preheat the spot where the patch will go.
2. Place a thin cloth over the area to protect the fabric, then press the iron firmly for 10 seconds.
3. Position patch. Cover the patch’s embroidered area with your cloth/pillowcase and press firmly with the iron for 15–20 seconds.
4. Flip garment and repeat on the reverse side, again protecting the fabric with cloth.
5. Let it cool completely without shifting — this sets the glue. If the patch moves while cooling, the bond weakens.

If patch edges lift later:
Reapply heat + pressure. You can also tack stitch or use fabric glue for extra staying power.
